APESTC Greening — Rain Garden on Main Street
Wednesday's greening (9/18 at 9:00 am) will be a weed pulling extravaganza, at the Rain Garden on Main Street and Springwood Avenue
Volunteers gather on Wednesday and Saturday mornings, from 9:00am until 11:00am. We announce which garden we’ll be working on the day before each gathering, so check this page to see where we will be meeting.
Wednesday's greening (9/18 at 9:00 am) will be a weed pulling extravaganza, at the Rain Garden on Main Street and Springwood Avenue
Saturday's Greening from 9-11 AM will be at the Atkins Ave Garden where decayed wooden boxes will be dismantled, plants will be removed to be replanted elsewhere, and three Dogwood Trees will be planted.
Wednesday's greening (9/24, at 9:00am) will be a revisit to the two shade gardens on Lake Avenue (next to the Swan Boat launch). We will be weeding and removing knot weed.
Saturday's Greening (9/28/24 - 9-11 AM) will continue on Lake Avenue beginning at the Friendship Garden and eastward.
Wednesday's greening (10/2, 9-11AM) will continue weeding on Lake Avenue east of the Children's Garden.
Saturday's greening (10/5, 9-11am) will take place on Sunset Lake. Locations will be at various spots around the lake, so look for our truck and the swarm of volunteers digging holes!
Wednesday's Greening (10/9, 9-11am) will begin at Bill's Garden - (2 benches, next to the Children's Garden on Lake Avenue) -- and end on Sunset Lake to plant Hemerocalis

Saturday's greening (October 27th, 9-11am) will be at the Civil War Garden on Cookman and Grand Avenues. We will be trimming back perennials and beginning our fall clean-up.
Saturday's greening (November 2nd, 9-11am) will take place at City Hall. We'll continue cleaning out the garden beds, trimming back perennials, and other end-of-season tasks.
Arbor Day (Part 2) will be celebrated on Saturday, May 3rd from 9-11am at the Boys and Girls Club at 1201 Monroe Avenue. Shade Tree volunteers and friends are invited to plant 12 new trees.
Wednesday's greening session will take place at Owen's Garden, at 5th Avenue and Emory. Volunteers will be weeding the flower bed, and the strip that leads up to the Emory Street bridge.
