APESTC Greening — Gratitude Garden
Saturday's greening activity (May 2nd, 9-11am) will take place at the Gratitude Garden next to city hall. We'll be mulching the rest of that garden, and then moving on to the planting beds around city hall
Volunteers gather on Wednesday and Saturday mornings, from 9:00am until 11:00am. We announce which garden we’ll be working on the day before each gathering, so check this page to see where we will be meeting.

Our Wednesday greening (May 6th, 9-11am) will be the first of multiple tree planting events. The ESTC volunteers will engage in a Spontaneous Urban Gardening event (SUG) on Thursday, May 7th (9-11am). We'll be planting street trees on Park Avenue, between 8th Avenue and Deal Lake Drive. All levels of skill and effort are welcome to join in.
Our Saturday greening (May 9th, 9-11am) will take place in Sunset Park, at the Butterfly Garden. We'll be planting two new trees near the garden, then we'll weed and mulch both the Butterfly Garden and the Rotary Garden
On Tuesday (May 12th, 9-11am) we'll be having a Spontaneous Urban Gardening (SUG) event. We'll be planting trees in three locations (in this order)... 1 Tree at 1515 Park Avenue 1 Tree at 6th Avenue and Webb 4 Trees at 3rd and Emory
The ESTC volunteers, along with the AP DPW, will continue our spring tree planting on Wednesday, May 13th (9-11am). We'll begin on Grand Avenue between 4th and 5th Avenues, then continue to Grand Avenue between 1st and 2nd Avenues.
Saturday's Greening (May 16th, 9-11am), will begin at the Rotary Garden (5th Avenue), then continue to Press Plaza and the Civil War Gardens. Volunteers will be mulching each of these gardens. Wear your grubbiest clothes!
Our Wednesday greening (May 20th, 9-11am) will take place at the Southwest corner of the Main Street Rain Garden (Main Street and Springwood Avenue) -- affectionately referred to as the "Rain Garden Heights". Task of the day will be weeding!
This Wednesday's greening (May 27th, 9-11am) will begin at the Pollinator Garden (Lake Avenue and Heck Street) and continue east along Lake Avenue. We'll be weeding as many of our lake gardens as we can!
Saturday's greening (May 30th, 9-11am) will begin at the Children's Garden on Lake Avenue. We'll be weeding and mulching this garden, then continuing east to groom the rest of the gardens along the lake.
Our Wednesday greening (June 3, 9-11am) will begin at the Kite Garden on Lake Avenue...we'll be weeding and mulching, then continuing on to the remaining gardens on Lake Avenue, headed east toward the ocean.
Saturday's Greening (June 6th, 9-11 am) will begin at the Shade Garden (West of the Swan Boat launch on Lake Avenue). We'll continue west from there to the AP Rose Garden, and finish our efforts at the City Hall sign (in front of City Hall). Weeding and mulching will be our focus.
