APESTC Greening — City Hall
Saturday's greening (5/9, starting at 9:00am) will take place in front of city hall. We'll weed the garden bed around the sign board, and continue with weeding and mulching the gardens in front of the building.
Volunteers gather on Wednesday and Saturday mornings, from 9:00am until 11:00am. We announce which garden we’ll be working on the day before each gathering, so check this page to see where we will be meeting.

Saturday's Greening (5/17; 9-11am) will begin at the Pollinator Garden on Lake Avenue (at the foot of the bridge to Ocean Grove). We will weed and mulch that garden, then proceed eastward to do the same for the other gardens.
Saturday's Greening (5/23 - 9-11am) will be clearing out some stubborn cup plants to give more space for the sunflower garden flowers to bloom later this summer.
Our group will be participating in the NJ Pride Parade on Sunday, June 1. We will use our regularly scheduled greening time on Saturday morning (5/31 - 9-11am) to decorate our float. Our Saturday greening will begin at the Butterfly Garden (5th Avenue near Veteran's Park) and continue to the adjacent Rotary Garden, and Owen's Garden at the footbridge on Emory Street.
Our Saturday greening (6/28 8-10am) will begin at the Rainbow Bridge garden (on Lake Avenue, inside Kennedy Park). Weeding will be on the agenda!
Our greening for Wednesday, July 9th, will begin at the Kite Garden on Lake Avenue, and continue westward to weed and deadhead as many of the gardens along the lake as we can tackle.
Our Saturday greening (7/12, 8-10am) will begin at the Seagull Garden on Lake Avenue (near Heck Street). We'll begin weeding at that garden, and then contnue to work on the other gardens along the lake.
Wednesday's Greening (7/16, from 8am to 10am) will take place at the Rain Garden at the corner of Main Street and Springwood Avenue (in front of the transit hub). Be prepared to pull out a lot of mugwort and other assorted weeds!
Saturday's greening (7/19, 8 am - 10 am) will begin with weeding at the Daffodil Garden (Sunset Avenue and Bridge Street) and continue to the Butterfly Garden on 5th Avenue.
Saturday's greening (7/26, 8-10am) will begin at the Gratitude Garden (next to City Hall) and continue to Merchants' Park (Cookman and Main Street).
Saturday's greening (August 16, 8:00am to 10:00am) will be a lighter version of Wednesday's St. John's Island Greening. Volunteers will gatehr on the corner of 5th Ave. and Grand Ave. to remove willows that are blocking the lake view and possibly to clean up the erratic pruning the DPW workers left behind.
