Volunteers gather on Wednesday and Saturday mornings, from 9:00am until 11:00am. We announce which garden we’ll be working on the day before each gathering, so check this page to see where we will be meeting.
Our Wednesday Greening (July 8th, 8-10 am) will take place at the newly refurbished tennis courts at the MLK Middle School (1200 Bangs Avenue). We'll be mulching the newly planted shrubs and perennials.
Saturday's greening (July 11th, 8-10am) will begin at the Emory Street Bridge Garden (Owen's Garden) on 5th Avenue and Emory Street. Once we're finished there, we'll continue at the Rainbow Bridge Garden, located at Emory Street and Lake Avenue. We'll be weeding both gardens.
Wednesday's greening (July 15th, 8-10am) will begin at the Rainbow Bridge Garden (Lake Avenue and Emory Street) and then continue east along Lake Avenue, weeding gardens as we go.
Our Saturday greening (July 18th, 8-10 am) will begin at the Seagull Garden on Lake Avenue. From there, we'll continue east, weeding as many of the gardens along the lake as we can get to.
Saturday's Greening (July 25th 8-10am) will begin at the community tennis courts on Bangs Avenue (1200 Bangs Ave). Once we're finished there, we'll re-group on Lake Avenue and finish weeding those gardens.
Our Wednesday ESTC Greening (August 4th, 9-11 am) will take place at the Rain Garden, located on Main Street and Springwood Avenue. We'll be concentrating on the area bordering Springwood Avenue, near the transit hub. Lots of weeds to pull!
Saturday's ESTC greening (August 8th, 8-10am) will take place at the Gratitude Garden (alongside City Hall on Bangs Ave, next to the Asbury train station). We'll be weeding, weeding, weeding!
Wednesday's greening (August 12th, 9-11am) will be a continuation of Saturday's effort to weed and maintain the Gratitude Garden (located next to City Hall)
Saturday's greening (August 15th, 9-11am) will begin at the AP Rose Garden (Lake Avenue) and then continue to Merchants' Park (Main Street and Cookman Avenue).
The ESTC volunteers will be installing a new garden at the east end of Lake Avenue on Saturday morning. We'll be planting perennials, watering, and mulching. Join us and be prepared to get dirty!
Wednesday's ESTC Greening (September 2nd, 9-11am) will take place at the Daffodil Garden on Sunset Avenue near Bridge Street. We've got a whole bunch of weeds to contend with!
