Volunteers gather on Wednesday and Saturday mornings, from 9:00am until 11:00am. We announce which garden we’ll be working on the day before each gathering, so check this page to see where we will be meeting.
Saturday's Greening (May 16th, 9-11am), will begin at the Rotary Garden (5th Avenue), then continue to Press Plaza and the Civil War Gardens. Volunteers will be mulching each of these gardens. Wear your grubbiest clothes!
Our Wednesday greening (May 20th, 9-11am) will take place at the Southwest corner of the Main Street Rain Garden (Main Street and Springwood Avenue) -- affectionately referred to as the "Rain Garden Heights". Task of the day will be weeding!
This Wednesday's greening (May 27th, 9-11am) will begin at the Pollinator Garden (Lake Avenue and Heck Street) and continue east along Lake Avenue. We'll be weeding as many of our lake gardens as we can!
Saturday's greening (May 30th, 9-11am) will begin at the Children's Garden on Lake Avenue. We'll be weeding and mulching this garden, then continuing east to groom the rest of the gardens along the lake.
Our Wednesday greening (June 3, 9-11am) will begin at the Kite Garden on Lake Avenue...we'll be weeding and mulching, then continuing on to the remaining gardens on Lake Avenue, headed east toward the ocean.
Saturday's Greening (June 6th, 9-11 am) will begin at the Shade Garden (West of the Swan Boat launch on Lake Avenue). We'll continue west from there to the AP Rose Garden, and finish our efforts at the City Hall sign (in front of City Hall). Weeding and mulching will be our focus.
Wednesday's greening (June 10th, 9-11 am), will take place at Trolley Triangle (Emory Street and 8th Avenue). We'll be weeding and deadheading the irises.
Saturday's greening (June 13th, 9-11am) will take place at City Hall. We'll be planting some new perennials and mulching the gardens that surround the building.
This Wednesday's Greening (June 17th, 9-11am) will take place at Merchants' Park (corner of Cookman Avenue and Main Street). Weeding will be the main task for the day. Saturday's greening (June 20th, 9-11am) will take place at the Main Street Rain Garden (at the corner of Springwood Avenue, in front of the Transit Hub). Lots of weeding and weed whacking are in store!
Wednesday's greening (June 24th, 9-11am) will continue work at the Main Street Rain Garden. Lots of weeds left to get rid of!
Saturday's greening (June 27th, 9-11 am) will begin at the Rain Garden on Main Street and Springwood Avenue. As time permits, we will continue on our weeding journey to Press Plaza on Cookman Avenue.
