Pulse Nightclub Memorial Trees

Library Square Park – Asbury Park NJ

In 2016, 49 trees were planted in Library Square Park. Each tree was in memory of a victim of the Pulse Nightclub massacre in Orlando in June. So many people showed up that it took half the time allotted to plant the trees! The dedication ceremony was moved up so that the volunteers could participate. It was a mix of volunteers from neighboring areas as well as Asbury Park. There was a group of workers from Pulse that have been touring the county for similar ceremonies. An emotional morning that left us all filled with love.
