APESTC Greening — SUG at Daffodil Garden
Tuesday's SUG (Spontaneous Urban Gardening) (6/4/24 - 8-10 AM) will be at the Daffodil Garden on Sunset and Bridge Aves. There will be plenty of vetch to kvetch about it.
Volunteers gather on Wednesday and Saturday mornings, from 9:00am until 11:00am. We announce which garden we’ll be working on the day before each gathering, so check this page to see where we will be meeting.

Wednesday's greening will begin at the Civil War/Pivinski Park Garden, and continue to the Rainbow Bridge Garden on Lake Avenue. Weeding and mulching will be the tasks of the day
Saturday's Greening (6/8/24 8-10 AM) will begin at the Butterfly Garden on 5th Avenue next to Veterans' Park and end at the Rainbow Bridge Garden on Lake Ave at the south end of Kennedy Park. Irises need to be pruned and weeds pulled.
Wednesday's (6/12/24 - 8-10 AM) ESTC Greening will be the final Arbor Day tree planting at the east end of Wesley Lake. The team at the DPW has already dug the hole and brought the tree over. Wednesday’s ESTC Greening will be at Trolley Triangle (8th Ave and Emory Street) where irises need pruning and our nemesis, mugwort, is in need of taming. We will meet before the heat at 8:00 AM.
Saturday's ESTC Greening (6/22/24 - 8-10 AM) will be a community outreach at 1206 Fifth Avenue in Asbury Park. An elderly resident is in need of pruning and weeding the right of way and has also offered to donate small saplings from her front yard for planting elsewhere.
Wednesday's ESTC Greening (6/26/24 - 8-10 AM) will begin at the new eastern end garden on Lake Ave where (1) an official name for the garden will be selected and (2) where a donation of pond stones will be laid around the garden's edge.
Saturday's ESTC Greening (Saturday 6/29/24 - 8-10 AM) will focus on the Gratitude Garden on Bangs Ave next to City Hall's side entrance. Wednesday's ESTC Greening (7/3/24 - 8-10 AM) will be at Owen's Garden on 5th Ave and Emory Street.
Saturday's Greening (7/6/24 8-10 AM) will be at the AP Rose Garden on Lake and Emory Avenues.
Saturday's greening will begin at the Symphony Garden on Lake Avenue (near the Seagull Garden). We will be weeding, deadheading, and cleaning up each of the small gardens along the lake, culminating at the Carousel View Garden.
Our next Greening will be on Saturday. Volunteers will meet at the Butterfly Garden on 5th Ave next to Veterans Park from 8-10 AM. Summer weeds need pulling and spent blooms need deadheading.
