Given the beautiful weather this week, we'll be doing some extra greening. Meet at the Asbury Park Rain Garden on Main Street, near the transit hub.
Greening will take place at Merchants' Park, at the corner of Cookman Avenue and Main Street. Tasks will include raking, pulling spring weeds, and pruning.
For anyone watching this space, please know that the spontaneous urban gardening originally scheduled for Thursday morning has been cancelled. Stay tuned for our destination for Saturday, April 15th
The DPW dug new planting sites at the east end of Sunset Lake to complete the "2023 Arbor Day Grove" which you have already worked on last week. Since the weekend looks like a rainy one, there will be an ESTC SUG tomorrow from 10AM to 12PM and we can rest during the weekend.
If you checked this site earlier today, you saw a message saying greening would be canceled. We've changed our minds!!! Meet at the east end of Sunset Lake, where we'll be working on our new grove of trees, to be called "Asbury Park Arbor Day Grove 2023"
Wednesday's greening session will take place on the East end of Deal Lake. We'll be planting trees!
We'll be gathering at the Pollinator Garden and Seagull Garden on Lake Avenue this Saturday morning. We'll be weeding and mulching!
We'll be mulching the new tree beds at the east end of Sunset Lake
Because of the weather, today's greening at the Rotary Garden is canceled. We'll regroup on Tuesday to plant these perennials.
This is a reschedule from Saturday's wash out! We'll meet at the Rotary Garden on Sunset Lake (5th avenue side), where volunteers will be weeding and planting new perennials.
We have a lot to do on Saturday! We'll gather at the Rotary Garden on 5th Avenue at the east end of Sunset Lake to plant perennials, then move to Press Plaza on Cookman Avenue to weed and reclaim that garden
