Gratitude Garden

Bangs Avenue Entrance to City Hall, Asbury Park, NJ

Dedicated to the commitments and sacrifices made by our local first responders, during the unprecedented Covid crisis that began in 2020. In a grassy area between the post office and the municipal building, our greening volunteers established a network of interlocking paths and planted the space with thousands of spring flowering bulbs, fragrant perennials, late summer bloomers, and whispering fall grasses. As we go about our daily business, this garden reminds us to pause and give thanks to those who have dedicated their lives to keeping us safe and healthy. ESTC volunteer Sue Peckman will be photographing this garden every week.
