Civil War Memorial/Pivinski Park

    Grand Avenue

Once buried in overgrown hedges, this unique pocket garden frames a Civil War memorial statue and cannons. Friends of Jane Makta funded The Civil War Garden because they believe that the war memorial to fallen heroes should be beautified. Designed to bloom successively, early spring tulips and daffodils give way to roses, irises, hydrangeas, lilies and so much more. In 2022, this garden was dedicated to long-time ESTC leader and mentor, Tom Pivinski. ESTC volunteer Ed Lacombe photographs this garden each week
