Volunteers gather on Wednesday and Saturday mornings, from 9:00am until 11:00am. We announce which garden we’ll be working on the day before each gathering, so check this page to see where we will be meeting.

It's been a while since we've tended either of our rain gardens in town. On Tuesday, volunteers will meet at the rain garden at the corner of Locust and Bridge. There will be mulching, weeding and pruning!
On Saturday morning, we'll be weeding, mulching and planting at Owen's Garden, located at 5th Avenue and Emory Street. Volunteers are also encouraged to join us at 5:00pm for a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Library Square Park Monuments Project on Grand Avenue between Asbury Avenue and 1st Avenue.

Wednesday morning's greening will begin at the Butterfly Garden (we'll mostly be weeding!). After that, the team will move over to the Civil War Garden on Grand and Cookman Avenue.
On Saturday morning, we'll descend upon Merchants' Park, and do a thorough cleaning and weeding, weather permitting!
We'll gather at the Rainbow Bridge Garden on Lake Avenue and Grand. There will be weeding, planting and mulching!
On Saturday morning we'll continue weeding the Gratitude Garden, and spread a new layer of mulch. NOTE: Greening will begin an hour earlier, at 8:00am, for the rest of the summer. Cold water and Gatorade will be provide to all volunteers who come out and brave the heat!
We'll begin at the new Kite Garden, east of the Children's Garden on Lake Ave and will move westward toward the Pollinator Garden. Though a pallet (75 bags) of mulch arrived at the DPW yesterday, thankfully the Lake Ave gardens only need superficial weeding and in true fashion some mulching as well.
Saturday's ESTC Greening will be reminiscent of a childhood game called "Eenie, Meenie, Miny, Mo" but which means "Gratitude, Merchants, Civil War, Kite" or "G,M,C,K"...all of which need some extra mulch to keep our weed population under control.
