APESTC Greening — Gratitude Garden
Gratitude Garden 829-861 Bangs Ave, Asbury Park, NJ, United StatesSpring weeds are popping up all over so we will meet at the Gratitude Garden on Bangs Avenue at the side entrance of City Hall from 9-11 AM.
Volunteers gather on Wednesday and Saturday mornings, from 9:00am until 11:00am. We announce which garden we’ll be working on the day before each gathering, so check this page to see where we will be meeting.
Spring weeds are popping up all over so we will meet at the Gratitude Garden on Bangs Avenue at the side entrance of City Hall from 9-11 AM.
Saturday's Greening (4/27/24 - 9-11 AM) will begin at the Atkins Avenue Garden (between Springwood and Heck Ave)where a rescued Rose of Sharon and a donated Keria will be planted. Afterwards, Volunteers will return to the Gratitude Garden to complete the weeding project and begin mulching the garden.
Tomorrow's Greening will be at Merchants Park on Main and Cookman Ave. Spring weeding and mulching will be our foci. May 1, 2024 APESTC Greening 9-11 AM
Saturday's greening will take place at the Rain Garden on Main Street and Springwood Avenue. There's more than one Greening to be done there so we will begin a several days project with our usual energy and humor.
Wednesday's Greening (5/8/24 9-11 AM) will be divided into two parts. Volunteers will gather at the Rain Garden for the first hour of plantain and mugwort pulling. The weather forecast for Wednesday (5/15/24 9-11 AM) is a chance of light rain so dress appropriately! The Wednesday Greening will be at the Children's Garden on Lake Ave.
Saturday's greening will begin at the Children's Garden on Lake Avenue, and continue over to the Rainbow Bridge Garden up the road.
The next Greening will be Wednesday (5/22/24 from 9-11 AM) at the 5th and Locust Ave Rain Garden. Get ready to pull out a lot of Mugwort.
The 2024 ESTC Arbor Day theme of "Making Grand Avenue Green and Grand" resumes with Saturday's Greening. Saturday's greening will involve mulching and weeding! We'll begin at 8:00 am at Press Plaza, continue on to the Civil War Memorial/Pivinski Park, and finish at the Gratitude Garden by City Hall.
Tuesday's SUG (Spontaneous Urban Gardening) (6/4/24 - 8-10 AM) will be at the Daffodil Garden on Sunset and Bridge Aves. There will be plenty of vetch to kvetch about it.
