Wednesday's ESTC greening will begin and end at the Civil War Garden on Cookman and Grand Avenue from 9-11am. Pruning and planting are on the agenda.
Saturday's ESTC Greening 9-11 AM will be at Gratitude Garden and City Hall for pruning, deadheading and possibly Spring bulb planting.
On Saturday morning, we'll clean up the garden at Trolley Triangle... weather permitting!
It appears that we will be enjoying a warmer day on Saturday, 12/9/23, so there will be an ESTC Greening on the 5th Avenue side of Sunset Lake near Owen's Garden. The grasses along the lake need to be trimmed and bundled away.
Wednesday's weather will be chilly but the warmest of the week so there will be a Greening from 9-11 AM beginning at the Pollinator Garden on Lake and Heck Aves. Tom

Imagine! Greening in February. Who'd have thunk? Saturday's Greening won't really be a true greening since the work to be done in the gardens is trash collecting. We will begin at Merchants Park (Main and Cookman), amble over to Press Plaza (Cookman and Mattison) and end at The Civil War garden (Cookman and Grand.
We're back! Well, maybe! Saturday's weather is supposed to be rain but of late I have become skeptical of forecasts so there will be a cleanup Greening at the Civil War Garden on Grand and Cookman. However, if it is raining, stay in bed.
Sorry for this late notice, but the fickle weather prognosis has changed from rain all day to beginning around 11:30 am. We will have our greening at the Civil War Garden from 9-11am.
Though tomorrow's weather calls for rain later in the day, the morning will be cloudy, dry and will allow us to work at: 1. Owen's Garden on 5th Ave and Emory and, 2. The 4 Rose gardens in Library Square Park on the east end.
Mother Nature is sending us a perfect pruning day beginning at the Butterfly Garden on 5th Ave on Sunset Lake where last season's dry flower remains and Montauk Daisy shrubs await a trimming. Volunteers will meet from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
