APESTC Greening — Rotary Garden
Our ESTC volunteers will gather at the Rotary Garden on 5th Avenue (on Sunset Lake, east of the Grand Street bridge). We will be planting irises and doing general maintenance.
Volunteers gather on Wednesday and Saturday mornings, from 9:00am until 11:00am. We announce which garden we’ll be working on the day before each gathering, so check this page to see where we will be meeting.

Our Saturday greening (April 18th, from 9-11am) will begin at the Kite Garden on Lake Avenue, and continue west up to the AP Rose Garden. As time permits, we'll head over to the Daffodil Garden on Sunset Avenue (near the Wanamassa Bridge). We'll be weeding, weeding, weeding!
Wednesday's greening (April 22, 9-11am) will begin at the AP Rose garden on Lake Avenue and Emory Street. Once we're done weeding that garden, if time permits, we'll continue over to Pivinski Park/Civil War Memorial Garden, on Cookman Avenue.
Saturday's greening (April 25th, from 9-11am) will take place at the Gratitude Garden (north of City Hall, next to the train station). We'll begin with a thorough weeding, and then spread mulch throughout the garden. Wear your grubbiest clothes!
This is our busiest time of year, and we'll often need to schedule additional greening sessions to keep us on top of our gardens and trees. On Tuesday, April 28th (8:30am - 10:30am), volunteers will meet on Deal Lake Avenue and Webb Street to re-set some trees.
Wednesday's greening (April 29th, 9-11am) will be our first major tree planting of the spring season. We will be planting trees on 8th Avenue, in the 300 block.
Saturday's greening activity (May 2nd, 9-11am) will take place at the Gratitude Garden next to city hall. We'll be mulching the rest of that garden, and then moving on to the planting beds around city hall
Our Wednesday greening (May 6th, 9-11am) will be the first of multiple tree planting events. We'll meet on 8th avenue in the 300 block (starting at 303 8th avenue) and continue up the block from there. The ESTC volunteers will engage in a Spontaneous Urban Gardening event (SUG) on Thursday, May 7th (9-11am). We'll be planting street trees on Park Avenue, between 8th Avenue and Deal Lake Drive. All levels of skill and effort are welcome to join in.
Our Saturday greening (May 9th, 9-11am) will take place in Sunset Park, at the Butterfly Garden. We'll be planting two new trees near the garden, then we'll weed and mulch both the Butterfly Garden and the Rotary Garden
On Tuesday (May 12th, 9-11am) we'll be having a Spontaneous Urban Gardening (SUG) event. We'll be planting trees in three locations (in this order)... 1 Tree at 1515 Park Avenue 1 Tree at 6th Avenue and Webb 4 Trees at 3rd and Emory
The ESTC volunteers, along with the AP DPW, will continue our spring tree planting on Wednesday, May 13th (9-11am). We'll begin on Grand Avenue between 4th and 5th Avenues, then continue to Grand Avenue between 1st and 2nd Avenues.
