Wednesday's ESTC Greening from 8-10 AM will be at Merchants Park on Cookman and Main Street. While the garden is growing well, it is in need of cleaning up pedestrian and wind blown trash, minor weeding and pruning.
Saturday's ESTC Greening will begin at the Daffodil/Stella d'Oro Lily Garden on Sunset and Bridge Ave and end at the Butterfly Garden on 5th Ave next to Veterans Park. Today's weather will loosen the grip of the weeds and thankfully make removing them at the roots easier.
Wednesday's greening will take place at our Butterfly Garden. Weeding and dead-heading will be the primary tasks for the day.
Rain on Wednesday kept us from being able to tend this garden on 5th avenue, so we'll descend on it this Saturday. We'll be weeding and deadheading. See you there!
On Wednesday morning, we'll begin at the Kite Garden on Lake Avenue, and then continue over to the Rain Garden on the corner of Main Street and Springwood. Weeding will be the task of the day!

Saturday’s ESTC Greening will find us once again at the Rain Garden on Main and Springwood Ave. Jerusalem Artichokes aka Sun Chokes ( whose roots are edible) need removal, along with Cup plants which are deceptively attractive but in time invasive.
Wednesday's ESTC Greening will begin and probably end at Gratitude Garden on Bangs Ave next to the side entrance of City Hall. Our usual late season motif of weeding will endure.
Wednesday's ESTC Greening (9/13/23 - 8-10 AM) will continue at the Rain Garden on Main Street. Tomorrow at the Rain Garden, it will be two hours of pulling Mugwort and removing Rocks.
Sea Hear Now will be filling up the east end of the city tomorrow and we will be avoiding that crush by working at the west end's Atkins Avenue Garden just off Springwood Avenue. Its patrons, Donna and Judge Ron Troppoli, will be there to assist us in cleaning, weeding and planting.
