Owen’s Garden – 5th Avenue and Emory Street
This narrow path on 5th Avenue leading up to the Emory Street footbridge across Sunset Lake is a difficult little patch of Earth. With no irrigation to take advantage of, young perennials have struggled to take hold here. Most of what’s planted in this strip has been donated by local homeowners updating or thinning out their own gardens, and it’s become a thriving band of flowers and foliage all summer long. Look for the garden stone dedicated to one of our group’s youngest and most enthusiastic volunteers!
